- Ass To Mouth.
- Bareback
- Sex without a condom.
- Bi-curious
- Heterosexual individuals curious about same-sex experiences.
- Bi-sexual
- Attracted to both men and women.
- Bull
- A male who plays with a partnered woman, often with the male partner present or watching.
- Closed Door
- Couples who play separately in private rooms.
- Condom-Negotiable
- Willing to discuss not using condoms, typically after STI testing and discussion.
- Cuckold/Cuckquean
- A man/woman who enjoys watching their partner have sex with someone else.
- DP (Double Penetration)
- One person being penetrated by two others simultaneously.
E-H
- ENM (Ethical Non-Monogamy)
- An umbrella term for relationship styles where all partners consent to romantic or sexual relationships with others. Includes swinging, polyamory, and open relationships.
- Exhibitionist
- A person who enjoys being watched by others during sexual or intimate activities, often in a consensual club or lifestyle setting.
- Full Swap
- Couples who switch partners and engage in all forms of sexual activity.
- FWB (Friends with Benefits)
- Friends who have a casual sexual relationship without romantic commitment.
- Gangbang
- One person having sex with multiple partners at the same time.
- Hard Swap
- Same as Full Swap.
- Hotwife/Hot-husband
- A married person who has sex with others with the full consent and encouragement of their spouse.

- Kik
- A messaging app often used for communication within the lifestyle community.
- Lifestyle
- A broad term for non-monogamous relationship styles, including swinging.
- LS
- Abbreviation for Lifestyle.
- Ménage à trois
- French for "household of three," commonly known as a threesome.
- Monogamish
- A couple that is mostly monogamous but allows for occasional outside sexual experiences under specific rules.
- Newbie
- Someone new to the lifestyle.
- No-Swap
- Couples who attend lifestyle events but do not switch partners.
- Open Door
- Couples who are comfortable playing with others in the same room.
- Open Relationship
- A relationship where partners agree to have sexual and/or romantic relationships with other people.
- Playroom
- A designated area at a club, party, or resort for sexual activity.
- Polyamory
- The practice of having multiple romantic and/or sexual relationships simultaneously, with the full knowledge and consent of all involved.
Q-Z
- Same Room
- Couples who engage in sexual activity with each other in the same room as other couples.
- Single Female
- A woman who attends lifestyle events without a partner. See also: Unicorn.
- Single Male
- A man who attends lifestyle events without a partner. See also: Bull, Stag.
- Soft Swap
- Couples who engage in sexual activity (oral, manual) with other partners but do not have penetrative sex.
- Stag/Vixen
- A couple where the male (Stag) enjoys watching his female partner (Vixen) play with others.
- Swinger
- A person or couple who engages in consensual sexual activity with others outside of their primary relationship.
- Unicorn
- A single woman willing to play with a couple. So-named for their perceived rarity.
- Vanilla
- A term for people or sexual activities that are not part of the lifestyle or BDSM communities; conventional.
